If reaction to the first round of X Factor auditions is anything to go by, you can’t get enough of Philippine girl group 4th Power.
The sisterly quartet – who are already inviting Little Mix comparisons – sailed through to the next round on Saturday night’s show after wowing the judges with their rendition of Bang Bang.
Simon Cowell even went so far as to suggest their performance was one of the best first auditions he had ever seen.
But just who are the perky foursome? Well, here’s what we know…

1. 4th Power are sisters Mylene, Irene, Almira and Celina, and they hail from Santiago City in the Philippines. They travelled rather a long way to make their mark on X Factor, revealing on the programme that they flew in specially for the show.
2. The quartet – who have also performed under the names Gollayan Sisters and Cercado Sisters – are aged between 19 and 27, and told X Factor viewers that they have been singing as a band since 2001.
3. They maintain the reason they wanted to take part in X Factor UK was not only to see Simon Cowell but because, as one of them put it, ‘we wanted to see Queen Elizabeth.’ Bless.
4. While they may be unfamiliar to British viewers, the band are certainly no strangers to the talent show scene. In fact they caused quite a stir when they appeared – singing under the group name MICA – on South Korean show Superstar K6 in 2014. Here they are with a cracking rendition of the Frozen song Let It Go – which was even featured on metro.co.uk last summer.

6. Oh, and they’re no strangers to singing Bang Bang either. Here they are performing it in Seoul earlier this year:

The bookies certainly seem to have their eye on the girls, having installed them at 7-1 second favourites to win the series after only the first show – with only fellow auditionee Louisa Johnson ahead of them.’It’s early days, but they are the ones to catch,’ said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
